Music has literally been her life. As a baby she knew that she was going to do music. Her parents Kenneth and Suprina noticed that she had no other interest other than music so they allowed her to focus solely on that during the years she was Homeschooled, allowing her to practice and perfect. She would barely leave her room due to her always practicing and composing song after song. While all 7 kids were being homeschooled, her Mother would make them study every genre; Classical, Gospel, Alternative Rock, RnB and so much more. She was giving each of her kids the space and room to perfect whatever it was that their passion. She also made sure that she hired a piano teacher to give them lessons. Her and her husband also made sure that all of their kids got the chance to perform at the New York Apollo.
In Junior High, she attended Louis Pasteur and began being formally trained classically in Choir Class. She was also given the platform to perform at almost every school dance, going by the name Kindosha at that time. Thats where she got a taste of signing autographs. That allowed her to gain a following as well as establish a fan base early on.
When moving on to High School, she got the chance to attend Natomas Charter School of Performing Arts. Thats where she was always learning to hone in on particulars even more. During her time in attendance at the Performing Arts School, her favorite instructor quickly became James Glica - Hernandez who later served as Musical Director For The Woodland Opera House taught and trained her extensively. One thing that always stood out to her was how much he pushed their operatic vocal abilities, often making them compete to see who can hit the highest notes.
When she was able to get her first job at Burger King at the age of 15, she used her profits to pay for studio time at the Juan Blair Ugly Fingers Studio in Oakland California. A year later, her Mother and Fathers would move back to their hometown Chicago, Illinois. Thats when Destined911 music career started to sore. Landing a Gospel Record Deal. She later decided that she was the opposite of holy and closed that chapter for good.
During her time in Chicago, her Mother Suprina Wells ran across The Great Louis Satterfield of Earth Wind and Fire who would then become her Mentor. Mr. Satterfield trained her for years which was a life changing event for her. He mentored her day and night giving her long talks full of knowledge. He would later introduce her to the infamous Sue Conway who would go on to give her very intricate and intense voice lessons. Destined911 would later state in an interview that every time she sings, she still hears Sue Conways voice instructing her.
Chicago was also the place where she furthered learned about Blues and Jazz during her time at the Chicago Blues Museum.
Having the amount of knowledge and training that Destined911 has is the reason why she will never allow anyone to put her in a box. Some of her favorite genre's to create are RnB, Alternative Rock, Classical, Techno, EDM, Composing Opera/Classical pieces, Songs with splashes of Jazz seasoning, and so on…. There's not a big enough box to put her in.
There's so much to come and she's so excited to share this journey with you! Stay tuned.
